The Beckman Coulter Allegra 6 Series Benchtop Centrifuge is one of the most versatile centrifuges in the market today with a range of applications including cell culture, plasma and general purpose separations. This Beckman Coulter centrifuge line boasts of basic and optimized user interface with its convenient analog controls and digital speed display for quick programming and ease of use. The models include the Beckman Allegra 6 and Beckman Allegra 6R.
The Beckman Allegra Benchtop Centrifuge is designed to operate with interchangeable rotors, depending on your application. The Swinging-bucket Rotor with the Exclusive ARIES Smart Balance System features automatic correction of up to 50 grams per bucket set for any rotor imbalance. Featuring 11 different adapters, this benchtop centrifuge spins from 1.5 mL tubes to 750 mL bottles. The Allegra™ 6 series benchtop centrifuge offers high-throughput screening with the MicroPlus Carriers, processing up to 12 standard microplates and accommodating four 1.8 mL Deep-well or 2.0 mL Square-well Plates.

Beckman Coulter Allegra 6 centrifuge models have different features to better suit your applications. Models differ in refrigeration type, operating temperature, size, and weight. The Beckman Allegra 6 centrifuge operates at an ambient temperature for general applications. The Beckman Allegra 6 centrifuge has CFC-free refrigeration with automatic door interlock, rugged drive and fine-tuned suspension features. Capable of CFC-free refrigeration, the Beckman Allegra 6KR features the largest dimensions of the three.

I worked with James and he was very helpful in locating the right replacement parts for our aging Beckman Coulter centrifuge. The part delivery was prompt and everything we received was exactly as described. GMI went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of and our equipment was back up and running within days!

Our laboratory’s micro-centrifuge finally quit working, so the time had come to find a replacement. We had opted to upgrade to a bench-top one to have some redundancy with the Beckman GPR we are currently using. At first we had checked with a large well-known distributor of laboratory supplies/equipment, but their customer service wasn’t up to par and pricing on a new unit was very high. At that point we decided to look into refurbished equipment. The sales reps at GMI were excellent! They helped us explore all of our options for our new (used) equipment, were extremely informative, and had great communication. In the end, we ended up with a great centrifuge at less than a quarter of the cost of a new one and it shares accessories with our older Beckman unit. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. On a side note, I noticed that our gamma counter was also purchased at GMI and has been running strong for the past 11+ years. Thanks everyone at GMI!
