Molecular Devices’ SpectraMax® Plus 384 Microplate Reader provides fast and reliable full spectral range detection for cuvettes, 96-well and 384-well microplates. This reader also makes use of a unique temperature-independent methodology for path length correction.
Running both standard spectrophotometer and microplate reader applications at the same time is possible with the SpectraMax® Plus 384. This benchmark for UV-visible microplate readers is capable of processing up to 384 samples in a single plate. A standard cuvette, 12 x 75 test tube as well as a 96- or 384-well microplate can be used in analyzing samples. Operators can also increase sample throughput by integrating this system into a full robotic mechanism that easily adjusts to fit sample handling requirements.
The SpectraMax Plus 384 reader is equipped with the innovative technology patented by Molecular Devices, the PathCheck® Sensor which measures the depth of samples in a microplate through optical path length. This technology allows for the automated regulation of well absorbance to a cuvette equivalent path length of 1 cm, which translates to 96 or 384 cuvettes.
The Data Acquisition & Analysis Software comes with each microplate reader. This premium all-in-one data software is capable of performing a wide range of ready-to-read protocols. Users will find pre-written µMax protocols that enable measurement of low volume applications. Using this software, the StakMax® Microplate Handling Stacker can also be flawlessly integrated with the SpectraMax Plus 384 system.
