Product Description

The Labconco CentriVap Concentrator uses centrifugal force, vacuum, and heat to rapidly and gently evaporate solvents from biological and analytical samples. Centrifugation prevents bumping and foaming during evaporation while pelleting the concentrated solute at the bottom of each vial, enabling reliable recovery from sample volumes as small as a few microliters. A 300-watt heater speeds evaporation by warming the chamber during processing, and a timed vacuum pump outlet delays pump start until the rotor reaches operating speed. As many as 148 samples can be processed at once, with sample sizes ranging from a few microliters up to 25 milliliters. Ideal for concentrating peptides, proteins, nucleic acids, and other heat-sensitive analytical samples without manual supervision.
