The Molecular Devices Gemini XS Fluorescent Microplate Reader lets you experiment with a variety of fluorophores and can even find the best excitation and emission wavelengths for new assays. The Gemini XS can read a variety of sample formats from 6- to 384-well microplates in endpoint, kinetic, spectral scan, and well scan modes. It also eliminates the need for filters for wavelength with its dual monochromators design with excitation and emission wavelength selection between 250 and 850 nm. The Gemini XS is a highly accurate machine capable of high reproducibility, offering RFU comparisons between samples, consistent temperature monitoring, sample mixing through Automix, and correct reader settings with AutoPMT electronics.
The Gemini XS supports many fluorescence array categories, including protein quantitation, microbial growth, transporter assays, ELISAs and immunoassays, nucleic acid (DNA) quantitation, phosphatases/kinases, enzyme assays, reporter gene assays, and cell viability, proliferation, and cytotoxicity.
