The IEC EXD Combustion-Resistant Centrifuge is designed for laboratories with flammable vapors potentially present during centrifugation, particularly for Class 1, Group D hazardous environments – atmospheres that may contain combustible volatile and combustible compounds. A trusted and proven instrument, the IEC EXD centrifuge is rugged and dependable in industrial, chemical, and specialized energy laboratories. Applications include most oil- and petroleum-related testing and analysis.

The IEC EXD explosion-proof centrifuge meets all the requirements of such laboratories and facilities because its control housing and motor design are connected through special conduit fittings. These fittings were designed by IEC to contain all electrical operating spark-producing components in a special housing.

Custom configurations for the IEC EXD centrifuge are available – including specialized rotors, trunions, shields, heated version, etc. — to meet the requirements of more specific laboratories.
