The Savant ISS110 high capacity DNA SpeedVac™ concentrator is designed to efficiently process large volumes of DNA/RNA samples. This complete system is suitable for evaporating solvents, concentrating samples and drying specimens. A patented technique that combines centrifugal force with vacuum and applied heat is utilized by this concentrator to produce quality results.
Aqueous and non-aggressive solvents including ethanol and methanol can be used with the Savant ISS110 Concentrator. Applying small amounts of acetonitrile and ammonium hydroxide are acceptable as well.
The small compact frame of this concentrator system houses a sample chamber, a rotor assembly, an oil-free vacuum pump and a refrigerator vapour trap.
Bumps and foaming are prevented by ISS110 concentrators by applying vacuum to samples only when the rotor is spinning. Samples neutralize the cooling effect of evaporation through the thermal energy applied by the instrument. This effect only occurs when needed.
Polypropylene fittings as well as Teflon® coated sample chambers and vacuum pump heads prevent corrosion while ensuring the safety and reliability of operation.
