- User-friendly interface
- Ultra affordable
- 1100 performance on a beer budget
- Deuterium lamp
The HP Agilent 1050 HPLC is a great basic budget starter system for a startup company, academic research, or teaching lab. It was the first modular design that was launched by HP) (Hewlett Packard) (The 1100 came later but really does not have better performance for routine analytical work…it is simply a newer model). This model can run as a stand alone -manually controlled system or with a computer and software. Each module has front panel control. They are easy to service and maintain.
A typical system includes
- HP/Agilent Series 1050 VWD
- HP/Agilent Series 1050 Autosampler
- HP/Agilent Series 1050 HPLC Solvent Tray
- HP/Agilent Series 1050 HPLC Pump capable of forming gradients
- Computer analysis system for displaying chromatogram and storing data
- Electronic strip chart recorder or more robust analysis software
Additional modules may include fluorescence or PDA (DAD) detection
Components are available also for sale individually
System or individual components are tested and guaranteed.
The HP Agilent 1050 Series HPLC is a line of HPLC products based on a modular concept. With necessary functions broken down into independent stand-alone modules, laboratories can build a capable system to suit the individual demands of their applications. GMI offers an HP Agilent 1050 VWD system that matches the requirements of routine analysis and QC/QA analysis.
The system comes equipped with the 1050 Variable Wavelength Detector (VWD), a standalone grating/photodiode type general-purpose detector. For convenient operation, the detector has a functional keyboard and a 16-character fluorescent display. The 79853C VWD can also be used as an ordinary LC detector.
The HP Agilent 1050 VWD HPLC system provides radiation from a deuterium lamp focused on a spherical mirror. Wavelength selection is also made possible by rotating the grating, which is driven directly by a stepper motor, for fast change of the wavelength.
Other features of the HP Agilent 1050 VWD system include a leak interface and leak sensor assemblies, two fans, as well as an optical unit complete with flow cells, filters, and beam splitters, among others.
