ÄKTA Purifier Series
The GE AKTA purifier is a high end liquid chromatography system with a wide range of pre-programmed application protocols and method templates used in academic and industrial research. This GE line of liquid chromatography systems is designed for fast and reliable separations of peptides, nucleic acids and protein purification by Fast Performance Liquid Chromatography (FPLC). The GE AKTA Purifier 10, 10UPC, 100 and 100 UPC can be tailored by GMI to suit your needs. Purification can be performed at a microgram, milligram or gram scale depending on the core system selected. Fast and reproducible runs are guaranteed in every use.
The Purifier line formally known as GE Amersham Pharmacia AKTA purifier, can be used for rapid purification of proteins with low to medium pressures. This chromatography system is used for high performance purification and characterization. Maximum performance can be achieved by using state-of-the-art computer-controlled pumps, UV and pH/ conductivity monitors, and fraction collectors with this system. The AKTA Purifier FPLC range has the ability to increase necessary protein purification efficiencies when working with labile biomolecules and enzymes.
The GE AKTA purifier liquid chromatography range incorporates many features to minimize preparation and run times. As a result, outputs achieve maximum reliability and reproducibility. AKTA purifier systems run all techniques from µg to mg scale. Flow rates in these procedures range from 0.001 ml/min to 10 ml/min, with pressures between 0 to 25 MPa.

Operators can control AKTA design systems through Unicorn Software for Windows. This controlling, evaluating and reporting platform can also manipulate production systems at a large scale (in kg).
