The YSI 2300 STAT Plus is a dedicated glucose and lactate analyzer. The system makes precise glucose measurements in whole blood, plasma or serum, and precise lactate measurements in whole blood, plasma or cerebrospinal fluid. With the YSI 2300 STAT Plus glucose and lactate analyzer, hematocrit correction option is made available, allowing the user to have glucose results expressed as plasma even when running whole blood.

This YSI 2300 model is the only dual-channel glucose and lactate analyzer that uses whole blood, so the user does not waste spinning blood. The system also only requires a small sample, making it practical for neonate applications. Operation-wise, the analyzer’s menu-driven software guides the user through each step. Diagnostics provide performance analysis and troubleshooting, and samples are introduced to the analyzer by tubes or syringe. No needles are required. Moreover, the YSI 2300 STAT Plus has a 24-position turntable that allows batch operation.
