Beckman L7-75 Ultracentrifuge
The L7 drives system is
today's advanced version of the Beckman drive that revolutionized
ultracentrifugation.
Frequency-controlled
direct drive provides long term reliability by eliminating brushes,
gears, and fluid-drive pumps - major maintenance and wear points on
other drives.
Vacuum-encased design
eliminates high-speed vacuum seal - another major wear point on other
drives. It also reduces heat output to 6150 Btu/hr and noise output to
less than 60dB.
Simplified drive design
and efficient use of energy results in fastest accel/decel times in its
class - 7.35 min to accelerate the 60Ti rotor, 6.00 min to decelerate.
