Atomic Absorption


The PGI 990 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer is available in the
following configuration:

  • Flame Only
  • Graphite Furnace
  • Combined Flame and Graphite Furnace with the
    option for up to nine heating ramps.

The system is fully controlled from a PC with
AAWin Software. The main features of the system are:

·     The integration of flame burner and graphite furnace in one compact unit
enables automatic interchanging between
the flame mode and furnace mode using
few simple keystrokes.

·      Eight lamp turret for automatic
positioning of each hollow cathode lamp.

·       Automatic fuel gas (C2H2) flow rate adjustment
to optimize combustion in element analysis.

·      Automatic adjustment of burner height
for optimized analysis conditions.

·       Automated  wavelength scanning and
peak searching.

·      Automatic Reflecting/Transmittance
beam-splitter positioning

·      Automatic switchover of spectral
bandwidth (5 choices).

·      Automatic PMT and lamp current adjustment, automatic AA and BG energy balance

 

The 'Legacy' Perkin Elmer 4110

The model 4110 ZL is a totally automated multi-element analysis system for Zeeman-effect Graphite Furnace AAS. The 4110 ZL is a compact benchtop AA instrument, including all spectrometer and furnace components in a single unit for minimum space requirements. The 4110 ZL provides complete system control-spectrometer, graphite furnace, Zeeman correction system, autosampler and optional accessories-from the single keyboard and CRT display of an industry-standard personal computer using advanced graphical AA software.

THE PGI MB5 SIMULTANEOUS ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROPHOTOMETER


The MB5 SpectroScan AAS system offers the analysis of Cu, Zn, Ca, Mg, Fe simultaneously. The instrument is pre-programmed for the analysis up to 5 elements. A suitable application for the MB5 is the analysis of Biological Fluids such as Blood
