Blood Gas Analyzer
OPTI Medical Systems OPTI CCA-TS Blood Gas and Electrolyte Analyzer
(OSCCA)
The OPTI Medical Systems Opti CCA-TS Blood Gas and Electorolyte Analyzer (formally Osmetech OPTI CCA) is a Powerful, Flexible and Convenient in a Compact Bench-top or Point of Care Analyzer
The OPTI CCA-TS Blood Gas Analyzer has an integrated color touch screen shows you the way and with its single-use sensor cassette it is ready-to-go in any situation. The calibration gas bottle assures accurate calibration prior to each sample measurement. The system comes with a removable- rechargeable battery- which allows extended operation independent of main power. Performing a blood gas in any location is as easy as 1-2-3. The integrated color touch screen shows you the way.
The OPTI CCA-TS analyzer utilizes the optical technology that has been used in the Osmetech OPTI CCA for 13 years. This technology does not use electrodes or contact points, eliminating the need for costly electrode maintenance.
The OPTI CCA-TS Analyzer provides lab quality results with zero standby cost. The single-use consumable, stored at room temperature, is only used during a measurement and safely locks waste inside.
The OPTI CCA-TS Blood Gas Analyzer has a measuring chamber heated to 37º Celsius. This allows for a wide operating temperature range to meet the needs of colder environments such as the operating room.
To help meet exact testing needs, the OPTI CCA-TS Analyzer has a variety of cassette configurations available. Each cassette comes individually wrapped, in cartons of 25, reducing the potential for consumable waste.
Operating the Opti CCA-TS Blood Gas and Electrolyte analyzer its just as easy as operating the former Osmetech CCA. It is as simple as 1-2-3:
The OPTI CCA-TS Blood Gas Analyzer is a microprocessor-based instrument that measures optical fluorescence from discreet sensors called optical electrodes (optodes). A disposable, single-use cassette contains all of the elements needed for calibration, sample measurement and waste containment. Specific calibration information from the cassette is read into the analyzer by swiping the cassette package through the bar-code reader. The cassette is then placed into the measurement chamber.
The OPTI CCA-TS analyzer warms the cassette to 37.0° ±0.1°C (98.6° ±0.1°F), and performs a calibration verification on the sensors for PCO2 and PO2 by passing a precision calibration gas mixture across the optode sensors. The pH and electrolyte channels are calibrated with precision buffer solution contained in the cassette. When calibration is verified, the analyzer aspirates the blood sample into the cassette and across the optode sensors. After equilibrating with the blood sample, fluorescence emission is then measured.
