The Rotina Large Capacity Refrigerated Benchtop Centrifuge
The Hettich Rotina 420R is a high performance benchtop centrifuge for developed for large volumes, yet not overly large in size. The new, compact, 2 liter bench top centrifuges are conceived for high sample throughput as well as for high sample volumes. With a maximum capacity of 4 x 600 ml, 140 blood collection tubes, 52 x 15 mL conical tubes or 16 microtitre plates, the Hettich Rotina 420R refrigerated centrifuges are ideal for applications in clinical chemistry, in biotechnology and in life science research facilities.
The Hettich ROTINA 420R has a metal housing, stainless steel centrifuging chamber and viewing port in the lid. The Hettich Rotina 420R incorporates a user friendly design with features including automatic lid locking, ergonomic control and informational panel, easy rotor changing and a capacity of 99 program storage spaces. The ROTINA 420R refrigerated centrifuge offers infinite variable adjustments from - 20 °C to + 40 °C (or - 4 °F to + 104 °F) with stand-by cooling feature.
Safety features of the Hettich Rotina 420R include lid locking and holding, an emergency lid lock release, lid dropping protection, automatic rotor recognition, motor overheating protection and chamber overheating protection for your refrigerated samples.
Operation and Control of the Hettich 420R Refrigerated Centrifuge
The advanced C control panel of the Hettich Rotina 420R significantly facilitates the daily laboratory routine.
Parameter selection is done via the use of symbol keys. Values are set with the control knob, and recorded by pressing the Start key. 9 braking and acceleration ramps, unbraked run-down, or a cut-off speed can be selected. Ramp 9 represents the shortest braking and acceleration time. 98 program memory positions are available. Additional program position "PREC" (PRECOOLING) is reserved for the pre-cooling program. The temperature in the ROTINA 420 R refrigerated centrifuge can be set in either Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) degrees.
