The OPTI-GUARD™ 1mm Guard Column is a revolutionary precolumn designed for use with any HPLC column. The unique patented design of the OPTI-GUARD 1mm provides a perfect zero-dead-volume connection every time, without the need for a special holder.
This versatile design makes the OPTI-GUARD 1mm an excellent choice for protecting all of your analytical, mini and microbore columns.

OPTI-GUARD 1mm Guard Columns set the standard for low-impact precolumn protection. No larger than a standard fitting, OPTI-GUARD 1mm fits directly into the inlet port of your column, and your tubing connects directly to OPTI-GUARD. The only thing added to your flow path is a 1x15mm packed guard column bed — no extra fittings or couplers are required

Special packing materials used in OPTI-GUARD 1mm are selected to provide effective protection for your analytical column while having negligible influence on your separation. Your chromatography remains stable and consistent when guards are changed, preventing problems at validation time.

The unique design OPTI-GUARD 1mm allows it to automatically adapt to any column inlet port. Once installed, the only additional items in your flow path that would not already be there are 2 frits and a packed bed. How's that for low impact installation?
