bullet 100 years in the making.  Hettich was 1st in centrifugation at the beginning of this century- Andreas Hettich designed the first centrifuge for medical applications!

has been making cutting edge centrifuges longer than any of them.  GMI carries Hettich centrifuges brand new in the box as our exclusive line for one simple reason...if you are buying new, Hettich is the best.  IT IS the Mercedes of the centrifuge world.  Here's why;

Tradition
The development of modern laboratory centrifuges is closely connected with the history of Hettich-Zentrifugen. Hettich's roots go back to 1904. A few years later, Andreas Hettich, the founder of the company, built the first centrifuges for medical applications. Ever since, Hettich has been defining the state of the art by further improving the technology and integrating new ideas. Today, Hettich's guiding principle is "innovation by tradition".

Innovation
Since the company was founded more than 160 patents and copyrights for design have been granted to it. Without exception they relate to centrifuges and centrifuging techniques.
In cytology, in particular, Hettich developed equipment that pointed the way ahead. In the field of laboratory automation the application for a patent on a robotic centrifuge presents a recent example of the company's innovative force.
The Hettich list of applied and issued patents, therefore, reads like a presentation of the development of modern centrifuge technology.

Construction and Design
The exchange of ideas with users in medicine, chemistry, industry and research generates
synergies. Using latest CAD technology Hettich's designing engineers develop them into products that meet all demands of today's laboratories. In the factory, finally, they are realized in centrifuges and accessories that are unmistakably Hettich and prove their worth not only by functionality, but also practical and attractive design.

Quality
Hettich manufactures top quality centrifuges. All stages from design to end product are continually subjected to strictest controls. Hettich centrifuges meet the requirements of all relevant national and international standards and verifies this by corresponding conformity marks. The ISO 9001 certificate accredited to the entire company proves the extreme care and responsibility Hettich puts into the manufacture of centrifuges and their accessories.

Service
After the purchase of a centrifuge Hettich and your local representative is still at your service. You can rely on excellent post sales support.

We guarantee it!

Buying Hettich represents zero risk.  Since Hettich has been in business for around 100 years you don't have to worry about service this year,  next year, or even in ten years.

Environmental Care
Centrifuges must not only be safe to operate, their manufacture must also be in compliance with latest ecological findings and pollution control measures. However, Hettich goes beyond that. Long before the corresponding law came into force, Hettich, for example, used the environmentally friendly cooling agent R 404 a on its refrigerated centrifuges. In addition, all other materials are carefully selected under the aspects reusability or non-polluting disposability.

Hettich Universal 32 and Hettich
Universal 32 R refrigerated tabletop centrifuge

The sedimentation of cells, bacteria and yeasts, of DNA, RNA and protein precipitates is workaday routine in basic research and R&D laboratories of the pharmaceutical and biotechnical industry.

A centrifuge, therefore, sometimes needs to be "simply universal."

UNIVERSAL 32/32 R means perfectly smooth running at both high and low speeds, versatile and easily exchangeable accessories and little footprint.
UNIVERSAL 32 and 32 R centrifuges are basic equipment in every laboratory.
In the low speed range (max. RCF 4,193) the UNIVERSAL 32/32 R accommodate standard tubes up to a volume of 100 ml, microtitre plates, Falcon tubes, blood collection systems and cyto accessories.
Microlitre/ microcentrifuge tubes can be accelerated to a max RCF of 23,907.
Centrifuge tubes of higher volumes (up to 85 ml) also profit from the extraordinary motor power of the UNIVERSAL 32/32 R: At an RCF of 9,418 with 50ml conical disposable labware, bacteria and yeasts sediment fast and easily

Performance:

RCF of up to 2,665 in this swing-out rotor, max. speed 4,000 rpm and a vast array of adapters are available for most tubes

Rotor model is 1624 shown with buckets 1381

How about this nice 50ml conical rotor for up to 3,857 x g for 10 tubes!

Rotor model=1617

This 6 x 50ml (round bottom tube) rotor spins up to 9,000 rpm and up to 9,418 x g. Will also spin 15ml & 50ml conical labware!

Rotor model=1620A

This microcentrifuge rotor is a 30 place wonder.  Up to 14,000 rpm and up to 21,255 x g

Model=1689

Model 1622 microplate rotor for 2 to 4 plates

Operation and Additional Features:

Entry of parameters can be carried out fast and conveniently via the water-proof foil-keypad. Just a few keys are all it takes to program the centrifuging parameters. The last entered values will be stored. They remain in the memory even after centrifuge has been switched off. By pressing the START key the parameters are recalled.

The clearly arranged display is easy to read. During centrifugation the actual values are digitally displayed.
Programmable small control, 3 complete operation programs can be stored and recalled.
Speed, RPM: Input in increments of 10
Running time t/min: Input in minutes up to 99 minutes
Relative Centrifugal Force RCF: Input in increments of 10
Run-up/run-down time: Input of acceleration and braking ramps in levels 1-9 and unbraked
run-down.
Radius r/mm: Input of the radius is required for determining RPM and RCF.
Short cycle mode
Temperature, T/°C: Input in increments of 1°C within a range of -20°C to +40°C
(UNIVERSAL 32 R).
