The
Hettich EBA 20S is a suitable alternative to other centrifuges for coag testing
(platelet poor plasma -PPP).
Short spins and high
g-force delivery mean superior turnaround
times.
PPP samples can be spun at 8000 RPM for
3 minutes and achieve
platelet counts < 10,000. Glass
vacutainers can only be used if they are 75mm and are spun at 7000
RPM or less.
