FIBERLite has designed the user interface of the Vortex 21K with a clear and easy to use touch panel with a clear digital display. Choose from only two acceleration and deceleration profiles for sample separation. The first profile accelerates the rotor from 0 rpm to 500 rpm, then rapid acceleration to maximum rpm which protects mixing of samples during floatation and density gradient studies. At the end of the run, the same profile allows the separated sample to be decelerated rapidly from maximum rpm to 800 rpm and then coast slowly to rest automatically. The second profile can be set to rapidly accelerate the rotor to and from maximum rpm for rapid collection of sediments from solutions.
