Benchtop Units
The Beckman
Allegra Series tabletop centrifuge is the current model and the pinnacle
building upon the Beckman pedigree of reliability. We have
refrigerated and non-refrigerated versions.
The GS-6,
GS-6R, and GS-6KR can spin 6000 rpm, 5200 x g with up
to 3 liters with the GH 3.8 4 x 750ml swinging bucket
rotor. Available in either benchtop versions or a floor - kneewell
version.
This predecessor to
the GS series is a venerable workhorse and
can spin over 6000 rpm, 5200 x g with a fixed angle
rotor or up to 3
liters with the
Another classic from the past Avanti J25, J25i, J30i and J20XP
Switched
reluctance (SR) drive technology is what separates the Beckman Avanti line
from the rest of the centrifugation world. The bottom line- FAR less
waiting for the centrifuge to spin 'up' and 'spin down'.
The brushless induction drive, based on
Beckman Coulter's legendary ultracentrifuge technology, virtually eliminates
maintenance for the ultimate in throughput and productivity. Plus
microprocessor control with 10 different acceleration and deceleration
profiles gives you the utmost control over run conditions.
The Beckman high speed centrifuge
is a classic reliable workhorse. Standard features include
imbalance detection, auto temperature compensation, selectable
breaking modes, auto overspeed compensation, and built in
diagnostics. If you are looking to save money on a basic high speed
this is the model for your lab and your budget
The
innovative answer for laboratories with multiple centrifuge applications,
the J2-HC is designed to meet today's requirements for the ultimate in
versatility. Never before has a single centrifuge been capable of so much.
It's a totally new concept, to give you total flexibility.
Designed for greater throughput, added safety and operator convenience, the J2 Series from Beckman offers significant advantages not available with other high-speed centrifuges. |

Ultra Units
This 'classic' is recognized as
the ultimate small volume pelleting tool. Also primo for clarification of
biological samples such as sera prior to other analysis. Can be used to
pellet or sediment any material that can be pelleted in an conventional
ultracentrifuge but in a fraction of the time. Ultra convenient since only
a pressurized air (42 psig) source is required to drive the rotor to speeds
up to 100,000 rpm! WOW!
The L7 drives
system is today's advanced version of the Beckman drive that revolutionized
ultracentrifugation. Frequency-controlled direct drive provides long term
reliability by eliminating brushes, gears, and fluid-drive pumps - major
maintenance and wear points on other drives.
Actual run conditions displayed,
program storage capability, 9 accel/ 10 decel profiles, rotor imbalance
detection, induction motor,
This current model
ultracentrifuge can achieve from 80,000
to 100,000 rpm (model dependent), with
centrifugation forces of up to 802,400g . Speed control accuracy is +/- 20
rpm of set point. And the microprocessor based design permits storage of up
to 9 user programs, in addition to its ten proprietary Efficient
Sedimentation Programs (used for maximizing CsCl runs in
a minimum amount of time) Beckman Optima TLX 120,TL 100, OptiMAX
This
state-of-the-art ultracentrifuge is able to reliably serve your lab for as
long as you'll be there. Why? Beckman's' unsurpassed Optima series
technology includes a vacuum encased induction drive- the first of its kind
in the world.
