The practical design of the
Shandon Pathcentre provides a 306-cassette capacity basket plus the ability
to add up to three extra processing modules for high throughput
laboratories. The Shandon Pathcentre’s "Closed Loop System" ensures that
fumes stay within the system and do not escape into your lab, resulting in
fewer changes of charcoal filters. A gentle counter-stir agitation and tidal
flow system combine to promote maximum fluid penetration through baskets and
cassettes for excellent processing quality and consistency. A circular
reaction chamber optimizes temperature uniformity, and enhances continuous
agitation.
The Shandon Pathcentre is also designed to allow flexible, real-time
programming for up to 9 processing programs. Simple multi-lingual
programming is displayed on a back-lit LCD monitor that displays commands in
English, French, Spanish, German, Italian or Swedish with full onscreen
prompt graphics. A user can decide between selectable processing parameters
including heat, vacuum, pressure, immersion time, drain time, and agitation.
A built-in clock enables selection of immediate-start or delayed-start
functions for overnight, weekend, and holiday periods.
