The P/ACE 5000
Series is the foundation of Backman's Total CE Solutions, delivering
the hardware flexibility to address a wide variety of capillary
electrophoresis applications.
Patented
Capillary Cooling
The high voltages
used in CE results in joule heating which, if not removed, can cause
band broadening or thermal mixing in the capillary. More efficient
than simple air cooling, our patented capillary liquid cooling
system removes excessive joule heat providing optimum resolution.
Selective
Sample Cooling
For liable samples, the sample cooling option allows selective
cooling of sensitive samples down to 4°C, while allowing high ionic
strength buffers to remain at ambient temperatures.
System Control
For fast rinses and vial movements without programming, the P/ACE
5000 Series can be controlled via the front panel. The P/ACE Station
software offers a true-to-life graphical interface for system
control and includes data analysis and reporting.
