
The Beckman Optima MAX Table Top Ultracentrifuge is an easy to operate and high speed centrifuge for a variety of applications. Due to its direct drive induction motor with thermoelectronic air-cooling and moisture-purging vacuum system, it is considered to be a low maintenance instrument. When placing the rotor in the chamber, it is automatically secured to the drive hub through the self-locking rotor attachment, which is audible by a click-sound.
This system can be used for a variety of applications like pelleting membranes, proteins, viruses or DNA and also separation of DNA or proteins on density gradients. The shorter length of the tubes and the high speed process cuts the centrifuge time necessary with conventional centrifuges. The system is designed to be imbalance tolerant, accommodating differences in tube fillings up to 10% for opposing tubes.
The Beckman Optima MAX is very efficient and cuts down the centrifugation time necessary for the application and allow quick access when placed on a laboratory bench. Another feature of this system is that placement in the laboratory avoids longer transportation through the hallway which is very useful for sensitive samples.
For centrifugation of smaller volumes, it is recommended using the Optima™ Max centrifuge. Not just easy to use and operate but it also allows you to perform a variety of applications with different available rotors and it is easy to maintain.
