The Beckman L-65 Ultracentrifuge as with all L Series Unltracentrifuge Models, is ideal for laboratories requiring a maximum force between 100,000 g to 150,000 g, although maximum forces between 39,200 g and 218,000 g are available with a choice of 41 different Beckman preparative ultracentrifuge rotors.
Beckman L Series Ultracentrifuges are useful for separation of sub-cellular fractions and viruses and for rate-zonal separations of DNA and its fragment. Often these are performed at slower speed gradients. The Beckman L7-65 Ultracentrifuge can perform these separations much faster than other centrifuges in the Beckman L Series range
The Beckman L7-65 is widely used for isopycnic separations of plasmid DNA, rate-zonal separations or receptors and lipoprotein density gradient work. All other materials, except some membranous subcellular fractions that are sensitive to hydostatic pressure, also can be seperated faster using the L7-65.
With the capability to spin 12 beckman high performance rotors at higher speeds/ forces than the L-7-55, the L7-65 is the most versatile and efficient L7 model available.
