The Awareness Technology Stat Fax 303 Plus Microstrip Reader is a compact, fully automatic reading unit with biochromatic optics designed for in-vitro diagnostic use. The instrument also calculates the results of endpoint colorimetric assays.
The Stat Fax 303 Plus reads monochromatically or bichromatically, and accepts many single column microstrips up to 12 wells in length, as well as break-apart wells with either flat- or round bottoms. After positioning the carrier to the desired row, the reader automatically positions the strips, reads absorbances, calculates concentrations, and prints results. The built-in thermal graphics printer also allows the Awareness Technology microstrip reader to plot standard curves.
Additionally, the Stat Fax 303 Plus instrument offers pre-programmed modes for performing the most commonly used calculations, multiple convenience features, and user programmable memory to further facilitate testing. Each mode is self-prompting, minimizing error and simplifying operation for the user.
The Stat Fax 303 Plus reader is designed for convenience, and includes automatic blanking options, as well as the ability to indicate the locations of positive and negative controls. The user can enter control acceptance criteria for automatic comparisons, and edit out discrepant duplicates with automatic reread and recalculation. The microplate reader is also equipped with a user-programmable memory that allows the operator to store test protocols, recall tests by number, and delete unwanted tests from a user-generated test menu.
