The Awareness Technology Stat Fax 2100 Microplate Reader is a compact, fully automatic reading unit. With its biochromatic optics, the reader is most ideal for in-vitro diagnostic use, computing the results of endpoint colorimetric assays.
A versatile unit, the Stat Fax 2100 can measure monochromatically or bichromatically. The reader also accepts many single column microstrips up to 12 wells in length, as well as break-apart wells in both flat- and round bottoms. After positioning the carrier to the desired row, the system automatically positions the strips, reads absorbances, calculates concentrations, and prints results. The integrated thermal graphics printer also allows the system to plot standard curves.
Additionally, the Stat Fax 2100 instrument offers pre-programmed modes for performing the most commonly used calculations, multiple convenience features, and user programmable memory to further facilitate testing. Each mode comes with a step-by-step prompting, reducing error and streamlining operation for the user. User-programmable memory also allows the operator to store test protocols, recall tests by number, and delete unwanted tests from a user-generated test menu.
The convenient Stat Fax 2100 reader combines automatic blanking options with the location indication of positive and negative controls. Moreover, the user can enter control acceptance criteria for automatic comparisons, and edit out discrepant duplicates with automatic reread and recalculation.
